Brooke AndersonManaging EditorMajor/Minor: English Language major, Editing and Creative Writing minors
Hometown: Andalasia
Favorite Vacation Experience: Getting terribly lost on a hike in the freezing rain that was supposed to be only three miles and ended up more like twelve
Favorite Quote:“My mind is like my internet browser, at least 19 open tabs, 3 of them are frozen, and I have no idea where the music is coming from.” – Anonymous
Why do you travel: For the food

Chloe RichardsonAssistant Managing EditorMajor/Minor: English major, Editing minor
Hometown: Hut in the Yesterwoods, Old Indigite Land, Felien Homeworld
Favorite Vacation Experience: It’s so hard to choose! One of the top ones was before landing in Iceland, looking out the window and seeing the sunrise on the horizon have a dramatic layer effect I had only seen in fantasy skies before.
Never Leave Home Without: Something to entertain myself. Whether a book, an ebook, or a video game, I never know how much downtime I’ll end up having, and I don’t want to be bored.
Favorite Part of Editing: That moment of realization after staring at an awkwardly-worded sentence when I figure out how to make it clearer.

Hometown: The Underground
Never leave home without: My deep love of cats
Favorite part of traveling: Going home (so I can sleep)
Interesting Tidbit: I always put my left shoe on first. Otherwise, I get confused and start the day off on the wrong foot.

Amanda Lockhart DunnDesign TeamMajor/Minor: English major, Editing minor
Hometown: Pawnee, Indiana
Career Goals: My career goal is to become a screenplay editor. And by that I mean a Disney screenplay editor. It’s a cult. I can’t help it.
Interesting Tidbit: The most interesting fact about me is not actually about me; it’s about my husband. He’s a quadruplet! Three girls and one boy, so he is basically the most patient husband of all time.
Dream Travel Location: If I could go anywhere in the world, it would be Italy, because I am a self-diagnosed carbivore. My dream vacation is one where I just eat as much pasta and pizza as I possibly can.
Favorite Quote: “There’s only one thing I hate more than lying: skim milk, which is water that is lying about being milk.” —Ron Swanson

Bekah LuthiDesign TeamMajor/Minor: English major, Editing minor
Hometown: Night Vale, Somewhere in the Southwestern United States
Best part of traveling: Definitely the airport, where the security agents are all grumpy, the passengers are all irritated, the food is all overpriced, and the flight attendants are all trying to maintain at least a modicum of control.
Favorite thing to do on vacation: Find the best food in the area; farmers market, diner, hole-in-the-wall restaurant; bakery. I want to try it all.
Why I Travel: Usually, to get back to my family.

Interesting Tidbit: I want to eventually be a hobbyist bladesmith.
Favorite Quote: “I have never listened to anyone who criticized my taste in space travel, sideshows, or gorillas. When this occurs, I pack up my dinosaurs and leave the room.” ―Ray Bradbury, Zen in the Art of Writing

Hometown: The cupboard under the stairs
Favorite Vacation Experience: Hiking to a really cool waterfall in a cave on the island of Cebu in the Philippines.
Favorite Book: Ooh that’s a hard one! It’s probably a tie between Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë or Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie. I like books with plot twists that I can’t predict easily.
Dream Travel Location: Norway
Favorite Quote: “Don’t use commas like a stupid person.” —Lynne Truss, Eats, Shoots & Leaves

Favorite Vacation Experience: Cruising to just about anywhere, because with any other type of travel, I push myself too hard and it is no longer a vacation, but a chance to do ALL THE THINGS.

Favorite Vacation Experience: Visiting Greece. Greece was beautiful, but there is nothing like your first experience seeing another country.

Makayla BeitlerAdvertising TeamMajor/Minor: History major, Editing minor
Hometown: Neverland
Favorite Vacation Experience: Road trip along I-90, which included the Mall of America, the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Big Sky Montana, Yellowstone National Park, and the Grand Tetons. It was definitely the route less traveled by, but the forty hours of driving were well worth it.
One Vacation Necessity: Options. I strongly believe in overpacking, so I don’t have to make premature decisions, and then I have three outfits for every occasion.
Favorite thing to do on vacation: Go for an early morning run and then spend all day curled up by the pool with a good book.

Carly CallisterSocial Media DirectorMajor/Minor: English major, Editing and Family Life minors
Hometown: Stars Hollow, CT
Dream Travel Location: Paris, France! I literally tear up every time I see a photo of the Eiffel Tower. Between the museums, crepes, and the romantic ambiance, I can hardly wait to visit someday.
Best part about traveling: Trying new foods. Some call me a foodie, but I just really love tasting new meals and flavors. It’s an experience of its own! However, trying bugs in tropical areas will never be on my eating list.
Favorite Vacation Experience: Cruises. I think cruises give you the best of both words. You’re able to explore different parts of the world, but you also get to have great food and fun whenever you’re on water. Plus the memories are never ending.

Favorite Part of Editing: I don’t know why, but I absolutely love editing for concision. It gives me such a thrill when someone asks for help, hands me a 2000 word paper, and says, “This was supposed to be 1000 words.” I never leave home without: Candy for emergencies
